Windows7 Unidentified Network Wireless

This happens if you connect to a network and miss or enter the wrong value on the Network Location Screen

THE POWERSHELL AUTHORITY HAS TO BE ALTERED USING SECPOL>MSC
If you have Windows 7 Home you will not be able to run this


If you have Powershell Authority try this:

Click Here to Download the PowershellScript and save to your C:\Drive

  1. Click Start

  2. type cmd

  3. type powershell

  4. PS> set-executionpolicy remotesigned

  5. Run the script

  6. PS> c:\ChangeNetwork.ps1


ALTERNATIVELY

See the fix posted here to change unidentified to Private this allows you to change the Network to Home or Work in the Network Location Screen
