Customer: Hi, I really want to change my primary email address as they have spelt my name incorrectly, I know I can set up a secondary account but this is not what I want, can you help?
Norman: Are you talking about your O2 email address?
Customer: yes, it is email@example.com I would like firstname.lastname@example.org
Norman: Huw, this email address which is the username for your online account can be changed only to an email address because it’s generated by the system.
Norman: You can’t change hughjones to huwjones I’m afraid.
Customer: Why can’t you completely delete my account and let me re-register?
Norman: The account is deleted automatically if you don’t use it for 180 days.
Customer: If you computer system is any good (I write large systems) you should be able to overide this temporarily, maybe should get some decent programmers, there are enough of them on the dole, happy to work for half their last salary
Customer: Are you seriously telling me not to use my email for 180 days?
Norman: Yes Huw.
