AVG update error | port 80 943 21 | http https ftp

An AVG update from yesterday 24 October 2008 caused an error which stops Internet Access on ports 80, 943 and FTP access on port 21

The error is causing a conflict on many computers

Solution

a) Un-install and re-install AVG 8

or

b) run a repair re-install

or

c) If you have a proxy server you can change your Internet Explorer settings to use it to work around the problem until you can re-install
