delete filterpipelineprintproc.dll

A random folder appears on your C:\\Drive containing filterpipelineprintproc

This can be malware or a virus dressed up as a Microsoft Print Process

to remove it if you know it is not genuine do the following:-

    1. Drag the folder you want to delete to your Desktop

 

    1. Start Task Manager (ALT+CTRL+DEL)

 

    1. Click Processes tab

 

    1. Click on Explorer.exe

 

    1. Click End Process Button

 

    1. Click Yes – Windows will Stop

 

    1. Click File –> New Task(Run..)

 

    1. Type cmd then click OK – A black DOS screen appears

 

    1. type cd %userprofile%\\Desktop

 

    1. use cd to change to the random directory, you do not have to type the full directory name e.g cd aers*

 

    1. cd amd64 – make sure it displays c:\\documents and settings\\{YOUR USER NAME}\\Desktop\\amd64> before you continue

    1. type attrib -S -H *

 

    1. type erase *

 

    1. type Y for Yes

 

    1. type cd ..\\i386

 

      make sure it displays c:\\documents and settings\\{YOUR USER NAME}\\Desktop\\i386> before you continue

    1. type attrib -S -H *

 

    1. type erase *

 

    1. type Y for Yes

 

    1. type cd ..

 

    1. type rmdir amd64

 

    1. type rmdir i386

 

    1. type cd ..

 

      make sure it displays c:\\documents and settings\\{YOUR USER NAME}\\Desktop> before you continue

    1. type rmdir {enter the random folder name here}

 

  1. To restart Windows type explorer

Windows will now restart, so close the Task Manager
