Overtype in Word 2007 Where has Insert and Overtype gone in Word 2007? There are now 2 ways to do these actions:- You can set the Insert Key to work as before Click Office Button (top left) Click Word Options Click Advanced Below Editing options Check the Box next to "Use the Insert key to control overtype mode" Click OK ALTERNATIVELY Right click on the status bar in a blank area over to the right. This is the line at the bottom where it details "Page: 1 or 1" or similar Click to add a TICK next to OVERTYPE or INSERT The action OVERTYPE or INSERT now appears on the status bar You can switch between the options by clicking on the word OVERTYPE or INSERT IP | ||||
