How to set up email in outlook

Setting up email in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook express varies depending on which email provider you use.

Most email providers will allow you to receive email using what is called their pop3 server.

Some will allow you to send email without checking your account details, others will require the details, this is called authentication.

When setting up the email account an extra box needs to be checked to do this.
This box is labelled "My Server requires authentication" or "My outgoing server requires authentication"

IMPORTANT NOTE: The outgoing server, known as the SMTP Server, in most cases has to be your broadband provider's server
